Sichuan Tour of Renowned Foreign-funded Enterprises in Yangtze River Delta Successfully Held
From July 31 to August 2, the Sichuan Tour of Renowned Foreign-funded Enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta was held in Yibin and Luzhou. The event attracted more than 21 representatives from 18 enterprises from the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Sweden, Belgium and other countries, including Emerson, General Electric, and Rockwell. During the three-day event, the participants conducted field visits, held symposiums, made recommendations on industrial development, and had Q&A sessions, as a way to share vision for future development and seek cooperation. The event achieved positive results and received an enthusiastic response.

The China (Sichuan) - Uzbekistan International Commodity Expo recently concluded in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on August 23. The event attracted over 3,000 business representatives from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries, with on-site signed agreements and intended cooperation deals totaling CNY 42 million. Covering an area of 5,000 square meters, the expo featured three specialized sections: Mechanical Equipment, Digital Economy, and Service Trade. More than 100 enterprises from Sichuan showcased their flagship products, highlighting the province’s advanced technologies and offerings in sectors such as mechanical equipment, high-end building materials, and smart manufacturing.
Sichuan's Foreign Trade in Goods Exceeds CNY 600 Billion for First Time in the First 7 Months
Recent data released by Chengdu Customs shows, the total import and export value of Sichuan's trade in goods reached CNY 602.57 billion in the first seven months of this year, ranking eighth in China and increasing by 3.9 percent year-on-year. Of this total, export value was CNY 364.11 billion, up 6.4 percent year-on-year, while import value was CNY 238.46 billion, up 0.2 percent year-on-year. The import and export scale hit a record high in the same period of history, and the number of foreign trade entities continued to grow, according to Chengdu Customs, adding that in the face of the complex and severe international situation this year, Sichuan's foreign trade has maintained strong resilience, withstanding pressure and demonstrating vitality.
2025 Chengdu Import Carnival Kicks off in Chengdu
The "2025 Chengdu Import Carnival" series of events recently kicked off in Chengdu, featuring a series of themed activities to stimulate consumer spending. The event will be on-going until November. At the Chengdu Global Center, the first event, themed "Summer Global GO," featured an imported shopping market. The Global Center's first-floor atrium set up individual exhibition areas for 15 countries showcasing products of 24 import companies, presenting a diverse range of imported goods, including beverages, food, daily necessities, cosmetics, and artwork.
