Chengdu's GDP Exceeds RMB 1.21082 Trillion in First Half of 2025

Recently, the economic performance of Chengdu in the first half of 2025 was released. According to unified regional calculation of GDP, the city's regional GDP in the first half of the year reached CNY 1.21082 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 5.8% calculated at constant prices. Data shows that agricultural production grew steadily in the first half of the year, fixed asset investment increased by 6.0% year-on-year, and overall performance remained stable. Industrial economic growth was relatively rapid, with the value added of industries above the designated size growing by 7.8% year-on-year in the first half of the year.

2025 Fortune Global 500 List Released: 3 Sichuan Companies Ranked

Recently, the 2025 Fortune Global 500 list was announced, with three Sichuan-based companies making the list this year. Ranked in order, they are: New Hope Holding Group Co., Ltd. (426th), Shudao Investment Group Co., Ltd. (454th), and Tongwei Group Co., Ltd. (479th). Compared to last year, the companies on the list remained unchanged, though their rankings slightly declined. Nationally, a total of 130 companies made the list this year, three fewer than last year, placing China second only to the United States in terms of the number of listed companies.

Ganzi Prefecture's Private Economy Grows by 5.9% Year-on-Year in First Half of 2025

On July 30, it was learned from the Ganzi Prefecture Bureau of Statistics that, according to unified accounting by the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Statistics, the added value of the private-owned economy in Ganzi Prefecture in the first half of this year reached RMB 8.781 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5.9% calculated at comparable prices. This contributed 30.5% to the GDP growth, driving economic growth by 1.8 percentage points. Since the beginning of this year, Ganzi Prefecture has continuously optimized the development environment for private enterprises and stimulated the vitality of market entities in the private economy. In terms of industrial structure, the added value of the private economy in the primary industry was CNY 2.158 billion, an increase of 6.2%; the secondary industry added value was CNY 2.807 billion, up 10%; and the tertiary industry added value was CNY 3.816 billion, growing by 3.2%.
