Multinational Enterprises "Invest in Sichuan" Symposium Held to Improve Efficiency of Foreign Investment

On July 15, the Multinational Enterprises "Invest in Sichuan" Symposium, hosted by the People's Government of Sichuan Province and co-undertaken by Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Economic Cooperation and the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, was held in Chengdu.

Yang Xingping, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, pointed out that, at present, it is the right time for multinational enterprises to invest in Sichuan because that Sichuan is accelerating the release of the opportunities of major strategies, industrial upgrading, and the broad market. It is necessary to put the utilization of foreign capital in a more important position, comprehensively optimize services, conscientiously study and absorb the opinions and suggestions put forward by entrepreneurs, constantly improve the work, and make every effort to promote the stability, quality, and efficiency of the province's utilization of foreign investment.

At the meeting, persons in charge of many enterprises introduced the development situation and relevant business arrangements of their enterprises in Sichuan, looked forward to the bright prospects of sustained and greater development in the province, and put forward some suggestions for Sichuan to create a market-oriented, law-based, and international business environment.

Relevant responsible persons of the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and other departments responded to specific issues concerned by enterprises.

After the meeting, Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Economic Cooperation will sort out the speeches of participating enterprises by categories, coordinate with the relevant cities and departments to thoroughly study and actively respond to the problems and demands of enterprises, seriously absorb opinions and suggestions, pay close attention to the investment intentions of enterprises, and make every effort to facilitate the landing of a number of new high-quality foreign investment projects.
