2022 China (Sichuan) Advanced Materials Industry Cooperation Promotion Conference Held in Chengdu

On July 15, the 2022 China (Sichuan) Advanced Materials Industry Cooperation Promotion Conference was held in Chengdu, which was hosted by the People's Government of Sichuan Province, jointly undertaken by Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Economic Cooperation and Sichuan Provincial Economic and Information Department, and supported by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.

It is understood that the advanced materials industry is one of the five trillion-level pillar industries that Sichuan province focused on, and the leading basic industry to develop Sichuan into a strong manufacturer.
There are 18 cities (autonomous prefectures) and more than 80 industrial parks in Sichuan Province developing advanced materials industry as the leading industry and ranking top in China in terms of industrialized technologies of lithium battery materials, crystalline silicon photovoltaic materials, polymer composite materials, vanadium and titanium, rare earth, basalt fiber and graphene, etc.

At the conference, the attending enterprises launched in-depth discussions on the development of advanced materials industry in Sichuan. They will seize the broad development space brought by the superposition of major strategic opportunities in Sichuan, accelerate negotiation, connection and investment layout, highlight the main direction of breakthroughs in new products, new technologies and new tracks of advanced materials industry, intensify scientific and technological innovation and the creation of industrial projects, speed up tackling key core technologies, play the leading and supporting role of advanced materials in the high-tech industry, and inject new impetus into the high-quality development of Sichuan's modern industrial system.

Related person in charge of Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Economic Cooperation said that the advanced materials industry thematic activity has been successfully held for five consecutive years since 2018. The conference is held to further implement the strategy of strong manufacturing province, attract "high-end, precision and sophisticated" enterprises in the field of advanced materials at home and abroad to invest in Sichuan, and promote the intensive cluster development of advanced materials industry in Sichuan.
