Yibin Sanjiang New Area

Yibin Sanjiang New Area was approved on February 18, 2020. It is the first provincial-level new area in Sichuan Province, with a planned core area of 389 square kilometers, an actual management area of about 420 square kilometers, and a permanent population of 320,000. In 2021, the regional GDP exceeded CNY 30 billion, an increase of 23.1%, while the growth rate of industrial added value above designated size was 41.1%. In the same year, the area also witnessed an increase of 15% in the added value of service industry, an increase of 23.9% in the total output value of construction industry, and an increase of 30% in the total volume of import and export trade. The growth rate of major economic indicators ranked first in Yibin City in 2021. It is estimated that by 2026, the overall goal of achieving a regional GDP of CNY 200 billion, building the third state-level new area along the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and a demonstration area for common prosperity.

Key industries: four advanced manufacturing industries including power battery, high-end equipment, intelligent terminal and medical equipment, modern service industry, agriculture will be emphasized.
