Chengdu High-Tech Industrial Development Zone

Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone is one of the China’s first batch of pilot parks to "create world-class high-tech parks", the first national independent innovation demonstration zone in west China, the comprehensive innovation and reform pilot zone and the core zone of the free trade pilot zone in Sichuan Province, ranking sixth among 169 national high-tech zones. With an area of 237.2 square kilometers (including jointly constructed area), the park has a development pattern of "one zone and five parks" (electronic information industry functional zone, Chengdu Tianfu International Biotown, new economic vitality zone, Jiaozi Park financial and business zone and future science and technology city). In 2021, the regional GDP reached 280.06 billion yuan, an increase of 11.1%, and the total import and export amount of foreign trade reached 565.135 billion yuan. The Development Zone has become an area with the best quality and efficiency of economic development and the strongest scientific and technological innovation strength in Sichuan Province and Chengdu City.
