Leshan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone

The Leshan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone covers an area of about 78 square kilometers and has a population of about 63,000. It is one of the four national high-tech zones in Chengdu Plain Economic Zone. In 2020, Leshan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone ranked 107th among 169 national high-tech zones, and 4th among 8 national high-tech zones in the province. The Development Zone focuses on the development of three core industries of "photoelectric information, intelligent manufacturing and digital economy", and creates five development highlands of "innovation-driven development, high-tech industry agglomeration, green and low-carbon guidance, open and cooperation demonstration and quality life enjoyment". In 2021, the operating revenue of Leshan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone exceeded 137 billion yuan, an increase of 13.6%. The operating income of the headquarter economic zone exceeded 40 billion yuan, an increase of 33.6%. The operating income of high-tech industries accounted for 63% of that of industries above designated size. The Development Zone attracted 14.82 billion yuan of investment,and achieved the first victory during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
