Guang'an Economic and Technological Development Zone

The Guang'an Economic and Technological Development Zone is the first state-level economic and technological development zone around Chongqing. It is the national recycling transformation demonstration pilot park, the core area of the Sichuan-Chongqing cooperation demonstration zone, the Sichuan Province new industrialization demonstration base, the Sichuan Province gas-salt combined fine chemical base, and the Northeast Sichuan energy and chemical industry base. Furthermore, it is a foreign trade transformation and upgrading base in Sichuan Province, as well as a key 100 billion-level industrial park, the first batch of chemical parks recognized in Sichuan Province, and the only national key development park in Southwest China for pesticide production capacity. The total planned area is 110 square kilometers. It is in charge of Kuige Street, Hu'an Town, and Xinqiao Street. It consists of two industrial parks: Xinqiao Industrial Park and Kuige (Lingang) Park. Xinqiao Industrial Park, with a planned area of 60 square kilometers, focuses on cultivating new materials, energy, and chemical industries; Kuige (Lingang) Park, with a planned area of 50 square kilometers, focuses on the development of modern business logistics, new-generation information technology, and high-end equipment manufacturing industries, as well as the development of Headquarters economy and other leading service industries, and the construction of riverside high-end residential areas. It was ranked 68th in a comprehensive assessment of China's 217 national economic and technological development zones in 2021.
