Chengdu Eastern New Area Signs 18 Industrial Projects in a Collective Signing Ceremony

On May 6, Chengdu Eastern New Area held its 2025 policy release and major investment promotion event for the second quarter, with 18 industrial projects signed collectively. These projects span sectors such as aerospace, intelligent manufacturing, biomedicine, medical devices, and the digital economy, with a total investment exceeding CNY 11 billion. The signed projects include both high-level platforms and corporate headquarters. Alongside the new signings, Chengdu Eastern New Area unveiled its first batch of 10 pro-business policies, focusing on enterprise needs and industrial upgrading to build a "universal + specialized" policy system.

"Sichuan Headquarters Project of 'Belt &Road' Import and Export Commodity Distribution Center Begins Construction"

Recently, the "Belt &Road" Import and Export Commodity Distribution Center (Sichuan) headquarters project, with a total investment of CNY 1.8 billion, commenced construction in the Legal Services Island of Sichuan Tianfu New Area. Covering 68 acres with a total floor area of 210,000 square meters, the project aims to develop as a "global trade headquarters" and an "international consumption center," focusing on modern service clusters such as "Belt and Road" international trade, smart logistics, and cross-border e-commerce. It will serve as a "new hub" integrating digital trade, service trade, and goods trade efficiently, and a "new platform" for deep integration of global commerce and cultural exchange. The project is expected to be completed and operational by 2028, further supporting Sichuan in building a new inland open economy hub and enhancing high-level openness.

Recently, Ebian Yi Autonomous County in Leshan City held a collective signing ceremony for industrial projects titled "Digital New Chapter, Intelligent Future." Six projects were signed with a total value of CNY 4.85 billion, covering cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, edge computing, and XR technology. In recent years, Ebian has seized opportunities in the digital economy, leveraging its abundant hydropower resources to target building a 5-billion-yuan digital economy industrial cluster. The county has taken the lead in launching smart city construction and has been selected for two provincial pilot programs: digital and green collaborative development and government data integration. The digital economy industry in Ebian shows broad prospects.

Thirteen investment agreements were signed at the event.
