Sichuan Province Introduces 10 "Hardcore" Measures to Support the Sustainable and Healthy Development of the Photovoltaic Manufacturing Industry

Recently, Sichuan Province issued the "Several Measures to Support the Sustainable and Healthy Development of the Photovoltaic Manufacturing Industry" and held a policy interpretation session on February 7 to enhance policy awareness and promote its implementation. The province places great emphasis on the development of the photovoltaic manufacturing industry, having established a comprehensive industrial chain layout covering silicon materials, silicon wafers, battery cells, modules, photovoltaic power generation systems, and applications. Six of the world's top 10 photovoltaic companies, including Tongwei, GCL, and Trina Solar, have already invested in Sichuan.

New Station for the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway Officially Begin Construction

On February 9, the construction of a new station for the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway officially commenced, marking the project's entry into its mid-phase. The Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway is a crucial part of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network along the Yangtze River corridor. The line starts from Tianfu Station in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, and connects to the existing Wanzhou North Station of the Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-Speed Railway. Once completed, the railway will provide a convenient passenger transport channel linking Chengdu directly to the Central Plains and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, significantly improving travel for people along the route. It will also play a vital role in advancing national strategies such as the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle and the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

Chengdu Eastern New Zone Launches 26 Projects

On February 5, the 2025 first-quarter major industrial park project promotion event for Chengdu Eastern New Zone was held at the Sichuan Jule Taigu Industrial Park. During the event, 26 projects were officially launched, with a total investment of approximately CNY 10.31 billion. These projects cover major industries, livelihood development, and infrastructure improvement, injecting new momentum into the transformation and upgrading of the new zone's industries and the creation of a modern industrial park.

Over 2 million Jobs to Be Provided in Sichuan This Year

On February 7, the 2025 Sichuan Province "Spring Breeze Action" special service activity was launched at Lizhou Square in Guangyuan City. At the job fair held during the launch ceremony, 280 companies from five provinces (cities), namely, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Chongqing, Shaanxi, and Guangdong, as well as from five cities within the province - Chengdu, Mianyang, Nanchong, Bazhong and Guangyuan - offered more than 26,000 job positions. According to the organizers' statistics, on the first day of the "Spring Breeze Action", 5,088 companies across 19 cities (prefectures) in the province provided 267,800 job positions. A total of 220,800 job seekers attended the event, out of which 42,500 individuals reached employment intentions.
