2024 China-Japan-South Korea (Chengdu) SME Trade Exchange Meeting Held
The 2024 China-Japan-South Korea (Chengdu) SME Trade Exchange Meeting recently took place in Chengdu, with the theme "Active Cooperation, Mutual Benefit." The event aimed to create a platform for industry integration, innovation, and international economic collaboration among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from China, Japan, and South Korea. It also supported Chengdu's goals of becoming a global gateway city by enhancing foreign trade and advancing its position within global supply chains.
During the two-day event, government representatives, trade promotion organizations, related enterprises, and experts from the three countries gathered for project showcases, business matchmaking, enterprise exhibitions, and industrial park tours to explore new paths for cooperation.
At the plenary session, collaboration institutions and major enterprises from the three countries shared insights on furthering cooperation in high-end manufacturing and green economy sectors, driven by the ongoing implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
The matchmaking negotiation session saw over 100 China-Japan-South Korea business pairs engaging in one-on-one discussions to facilitate targeted connections. Additionally, a dedicated exhibition area highlighted innovations and market expansion achievements in fields such as equipment manufacturing, electronic information, renewable energy, environmental protection, culture and tourism, elder care services, modern agriculture, cross-border e-commerce, and supply chain services. This exchange meeting promoted practical projects, brand visibility, and product recognition, further expanding opportunities for trilateral SME collaboration.
